Zedling front + rear suspension kit

After riding the bike for about 2000kms on highways and some off-road, I realised a few things: the rear is too bouncy at high speeds and doesn't settle quickly. It also bottoms out at anything beyond gravel or soft off-roads, making the ride a little less comfortable. The front however is still better but suffers from the same high speed limitations and it definitely can't deal with bigger potholes at speed.

In my research for better ride quality, I came across Zedling suspension through a few online articles. The price was too good to be true, so I decided to give it a shot. The zedling site first asks you to fill a comprehensive form asking about your riding style, rider weight and the kind of terrain you usually ride on. Once that's done and payment is made, a WhatsApp group is created, where they get a few more details from you.

It took about a week and then a day for installation.

Right off the bat, the seat height increased about 10mm. Then it also felt really stiff initially. The reason was the preload was set a bit high for my taste. This was resolved to a large extent by reducing the front and rear pre load.

Positives: The bike is very easy to steer, it dips into corners much more easily. I'd say the handling is much sharper compared to stock. The nose dive during heavy braking has reduced. I tested it for about 14,000kms, did some heavy off-roading in Ladakh, and it could keep up with other adventure bikes like the KTM 390 easily. Once you stand on the footpegs you barely feel anything that's under the bike. It could easily handle all the rough roads I had encountered.

Negatives: The ride is much firmer compared to stock at city speeds, but this is something I've learned to live with and is no longer a deal breaker since the handling feels much better. Another not so good thing is that you need to get the suspension serviced at least once a year if you regularly use the bike for off-roading.

For ₹26,000 (approx $270) with installation, this is a must have mod in my case.
